Are you a woman in worship who is:

  • Overwhelmed, exhausted and don't have much left to give?
  • Feeling like you have no one to talk to and are unsure about the future?
  • Needing to make a tough decision but don’t know what to do or who to turn to?
  • At a crossroads?

If so, this blog is for YOU.

Our ProjectWOW team wants you to know that you are definitely NOT alone. We are here for you. We are praying for you and we want to also encourage you to do the same… to PRAY

Prayer is powerful, it changes things. It changes us. When we communicate with God, He brings revelation and resolution to things that once seemed insurmountable. Prayer really does WORK!

Time after time, I have seen God’s hand move in my life and in the lives of those around me. And it all begins with us in a posture of surrender, on our knees calling upon Heaven to invade Earth.

When I am tired and overwhelmed, I remember 1 Chronicles 16:11 that says,  “Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always.” Did you catch that? It said ALWAYS. Our eyes must stay fixed on Jesus all day, every day. Our help and our strength come from Him and Him alone. We won’t find it in others. The validation you are hoping for, or wanting your pastor or leader to give you may never come. And that’s okay. Stop looking to them to give you what only God can give you.

Some of us strive and strive and want to prove ourselves to man. You will NEVER find your identity in what you do or in other people. Your identity is found in JESUS. It is in Him that we live, move and have our being (Acts 17:28). Walking in this revelation is a game changer!

When I am having a difficult day, week or season, I’m reminded to, “devote myself to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Colossians 4:2) In the very hardest of seasons, we all have so much to thank God for and countless blessings to be grateful for. I’ve discovered that gratitude can heal even the heaviest of hearts. Philippians 4:6 says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." He can take it. Whatever you want to throw at Him: your anger, your worry and doubts, your dreams, your frustrations with ministry, marriage or motherhood. None of it will surprise Him or be too much. In fact, in our weakness, He is made strong.

Perhaps God is just waiting for you to surrender all these things to Him and to keep thanksgiving on your lips. Our worship and our prayers have the power to release the hand of God in our world.

Psalm 145:18 says that the Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth. God is near to you today, all you have to do is call Him.

We at ProjectWOW would like to add our faith and prayers to yours. Please let us know your prayer request in the comments section. Prayer is a posture of strength and remember- God is on your side.
